Coney Island

After an hour underground on the train from Greenpoint, we reached Coney Island just in time to eat the lunch I packed for us.  Peter was a little disappointed this meant he would be missing out on trying all of the greasy food Coney Island offers. (He got some a few hours later anyways)
Lucky for us, the weather was incredible and we spent most of the afternoon napping on a bench facing the ocean, soaking up the sun. It's always when Winter is fast approaching that I appreciate the sun the most.
Coney Island was interesting. It was colourful and tacky and home to many people who looked like they part took in the hot dog eating contest that the place is famous for.
Needless to say, thank goodness the sun was shining and that it was just a day trip :)
