Brooklyn Botanic Gardens

Botanical Garden
The bus taking us to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens was conveniently only one.
With some brie cheese, crackers, red pepper jelly and pistachio nuts packed, we were ready for the one hour journey to the gardens. For $4 with expired student cards, we got to spend a few hours in and out of greenhouses and walking around the gardens grounds. It was well worth the bus trip.

We learned so much! Pepper comes from a plant and starts as a green berry, turning red when it's ripe. Some rocks in the desert are alive and even sprout flowers. I'm sure there were more things but I've already forgotten:) It was a nature nerd day to say the least.
