Mui ne, jellyfish and dog poo

We arrive at our beautiful hotel and settled into our bungalow quickly so we could run into the ocean water and feel the salt and sand on our skin.
As we rushed past the copious amounts of tourists sunbathing by the pool, we couldn't help but comment on how silly they were not to take advantage of the people-less beach!

We soon disocvered why everyone was around the pool...there was garbage, poop and jellyfish all over the beach.
For a moment, Peter and I were in denial and thought this couldn't be possible. We started on foot in search of some beautiful white poo-less sand. We found none. After an hour and a half of walking and dogging the garbage, jellyfish and poo, we returned to our hotel poolside where the sound of the waves were the only thing pleasent about being beside the beach.
watch out for the poo baby!

These little round boats were created as a way for the fishermen to get around the law. They are not boats! they are circular ringy things that can fish! hehe
Ahhh the pool side. So needed in pooy Mui Nei.

did you just step in??? uh oh!

Day tour to the Sand Dunes!

A boy broke the other boys sandal and didn't offer to pay for it. A fight broke out between the youngsters in the hot sun, on the very hot sand. A couple of Vietnamese-American men interfered and took the adult role in breaking up the highly emotional flight.

Peter thought it would be a fantastic idea to pay $1 to do some Sand Dune sledding.
Not so fun when you fall off and the sand burns your skin!
Even less fun when your girlfriend is gasping for breath because she is laughing so hard at the sight!
no i won't be joining you darling, I will stay here and take the pictures^^

We got to the next set of Sand Dunes and we both knew it was out of the question that we would bother hiking all the way up in the hot sun, on the hot hot sand to look at them. I think it's one of those things that if you've done it once, you've seen them all.

So we sat across from the Dunes in some hammocks and drank out of a coconut. YUM YUM

Sunset-lovely

After seeing where they catch the seafood and thinking of all the poop, garbage and dead jellyfish in Mui Nie. . . we gave up on the seafood bbq's.
Go to Mui Nie, the sand dunes were wonderful, the poop, garbage and dead jellyfish...not so much^.^
