Vogue and 20 under 30

Vogue hearts Vince and Fiat
On our way to celebrate our two friends winning the 20 best artists under 30, we stumbled across a Vogue party that our lovely friend had organized.
A few complimentary drinks and fancy appetizers later, we were on to the next one.

Phaidon NY Store hosts an exhibition of the twenty best artists under thirty

Eric drew these amazing illustrations of people doing the stuff.

coffee-milk tea and a taro puff

I had never heard of, nor thought of, coffee and tea mixed together and consumed.

After a delicious Malaysian dinner in Chinatown, a mild monsoon began. Umbrellas were turned inside out and went flying down the streets. Everyone was rushing into shops to escape the wind and rain. Lucky for us, we ran into a gem of a Bakery.
It was here, in the torrential weather, that I discovered my new favourite treats: taro puffs and coffee with milk tea.

An Ecuadorian Dinner

Not Quite Mexican Take Out
Fried plantain for desert, corn tamale, saucy veggies and yummy sauces.

Bar 89

After work drinks in Soho
This place is slightly cheesy but it was convenient. I do enjoy the transparent bathroom doors. They steam up when you lock the door to use the toilet. I guess you just have to pray it's not broken and everyone will see you!

An Indian Buffet

DHABA
Best Indian food to date. Yes it's a $15 buffet and more than I usually like to pay for brunch/dinner but it is well worth it.
Tip: wear your stretchy pants if you decided to go.

Balcony in Brooklyn

Sherri, Jo and Jeff have this fabulous balcony in Williamsburg and I just can't wait for the summertime BBQ's and drinks to begin.

Fat Radish

Fat Radish
Waiting two weeks to get a dinner reservation and only having the option of 6:30pm on a Monday, made us want to go all the more.
My lovely mom wanted to treat us to a fabulous dinner out and that we did.
I didn't know half the names of the vegetables on their 'specials' menu. If it wasn't for teaching children the alphabet through a book called, "Eating the Alphabet," that named rare fruits and vegetables, I would have been completely lost.
Complimentary appetizer - radishes, how fitting.
The Freshest Ginger Martini
Spagetti squash
Hummus with beet chips and Celery root pot pie
Bass over roasted radishes and potatoes
Beet chocolate cake with smushed raspberries and cream

-Delicious-

Thanks mom!
