There's nothing like beach hair.

Bumble and Bumble created a sea salt spray that is supposed to leave you're hair looking beachy.

Mine just looked ridiculous!

I think I first saw this done in a cute boutique in Melbourne

I thought it was a brilliant idea for gifts.

I found this cup at a second hand store for 50 cents, filled it with wax, and a wick and ta da, a gift is made.

I wouldn't try it with a too dainty vintage tea cup though, you might get a crack, smash and possibly burn. ouch.

Remember watching your parents getting dressed up to go out for dinner parties, weddings, work functions or just for a special dinner? 

I used to love seeing how amazing my parents looked all dressed up together and would wish to my mothers closet as soon as she'd depart for the evening.

I'd try on all of her party dresses and towering heels and couldn't wait to one day dress up for functions with my partner.

This summer has been full of weddings and occasions to get dressed up as a couple.

There is something so special about putting on those clothes you reserve for special occasions.

country living

My momentary retirement from traveling has given me the time I needed to rest in the countryside and enjoy the simple things.

Since being home I have knitted, crocheted, baked, cross-stiched, created imitation american apparel head bands and cooked dinner with fresh herbs from the garden.

Life couldn't have been kinder these past two months in the simple life.
